2. Installation¶
Note: the application could work on any OS, but the majority of our users uses Windows. If there is enough demand we can release the application for other OS.
2.1. System Requirements¶
Drone Show Creator is only available for download on Windows. Always check that the graphics drivers are up to date and that OpenGL is well supported.

2.2. Installing on Windows¶
2.2.1. Get a licence¶
The different licences are visible on http://www.droneshowcreator.com/licence.html. After selecting the wanted license follow the instruction on the site. You will get forwarded to download page and receive a mail with the license information.
2.2.2. Download the installer¶
Upon selecting a license a download page will get shown. On that page you can download the installer of the Drone Show Creator. There are two versions of the installer. The stable version and the experimental beta version.
The stable version has been tested thoroughly and is recommended production usage.
The beta version is tested internally and is being tested by the wider community. It usually has new features that are subject to change and need testing and may have their own bugs or limitations.
2.2.3. Installation¶
The Windows installer when run will let you choose where to place Drone Show Creator and configure Windows to have an entry to the start menu and to open sky4-files with Drone Show Creator. Administrator rights are needed to install Drone Show Creator on your system.
2.2.4. First run¶
On startup Drone Show creator will check for updates. Whenever there is a new update it will get installed by default. The first time you open the application that will happen too and the newest version will get installed. Administrator rights will be needed to update.
After updating itself you will get presented with a screen to input your licence information. The serial number should have been mailed to you after getting a license. Fill in that serial number and you are set.
